This past weekend, I took a trip to the Pilsen neighborhood in Chicago and had brunch at S.K.Y. Recently featured in Chicago Magazine as one of the best new restaurants in the city. I immediately went to their website and browsed the menu. Both the brunch and dinner menu captured my eye. So I quickly made a reservation for Sunday to celebrate an early Mother’s Day with the madre.
I am a Chicago girl, through and through. Everyone knows how obsessed I am with my city. One of favorite things to do in Chicago, is eat! Anyone who is anyone that has either visited or lived in Chicago, knows that we have some of the best food in the world. From the traditional Chicago staples (Chicago style hot dogs or deep dish pizza) to the number one restaurant in the world (Alinea).
If you haven’t met me by now, you may not be aware of my love for New York. It’s a city that grabs at my heart-strings every time I am there. Why don’t I live there you ask? Because I would have to sell my soul just to afford a month’s worth of rent. All jokes aside, it is a city I call my second home and would love to live there.
