Date Night

 

Last week, Andy and I had our monthly date night dinner at home. I really enjoy cooking, especially for others. Andy has become my taste tester which is great for when I want to try something new. I like to make sure that these dinners are special because both he and I are constantly running around working and traveling, that we almost have to schedule spending time with each other.

These dinners take place at the same time during the month so it’s easy for both of us to remember. We light candles, play a little music, and turn off cellphones and TV. We both can be easily distracted. Each month I want to try a different style of cuisine. This will help push me to learn about different food cultures and push my skills a little further!

This particular occasion, I went with a seafood theme. Next month I’m thinking Cajun!
